David Langford in cooperation with Quality Learning Australia has developed a 2 + 2 follow-up training cycle open to all teachers and administrators. The first two days are focused on leadership issues related to improving learning and the second two days are focused onimproving learning in the classroom. Participants are welcome to attend either 2-day session or both.

Prerequisite Training

Previous attendance at David’s 4-Day Quality Learning Seminar or similar training sessions offered by Quality Learning Australia is required to participate in either the classroom or leadership follow-up training.

2-Day Quality Learning Leadership for Learning Seminar

Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 April 2012

Strengthen your Leadership for Learning by:

• Understanding more about Profound Knowledge.
• Learning how LEAN tools can be used to improve systems.
• Exploring coaching and managing integrated learning teaching teams.
• Deepening knowledge of using PDSA for whole campus improvement.
• Practicing Quality Learning tools.
• Learning from other participants.
• Sharing challenges and successes.

Participants should be prepared to:

• Bring a laptop computer.
• Share examples of tools and projects they have tried.
• Receive feedback from other participants.
• Be ready to download video and examples they can take back to share with others.
• Be challenged and have fun in an interactive environment.

• Managing self-paced classrooms.
• Assessing and monitoring performance.
• Creating student portfolios.
• Quality Learning tools specifically related to brain research.
